AMRITA JAZZMYN (Jas)

"I'm Amrita and I feel humble to have played the character of Jas in the short film 'Worthless Woman', because it portraits many women who are in similar, if not the same situation. Being a woman is not always easy, but it surely is a blessing. We can give life, whether it's a boy or a girl. Both are needed in this World.

I have had the blessings to work with some great actors in the past and I feel excited about my further acting career. As a Drama Coach you have to be able to jump into any character. This offers me the opportunity to be creative and to explore my acting skills on a deeper level.

With this film I hope people will get more aware about what is happening in many communities. Apart from an ethical point of view, female foeticide disturbs the natural gender balance of our species. This has a big impact and consequences on our society in many ways.

Women are needed and have just as much right to live as men. Women are our Mothers, sisters and daughters. Without women, no man can be born."
